Jennifer O’Shea is the Director, Card Programs Strategy and Marketing for Discover’s Business Card. Discover Financial Services provides banking and credit products that help people achieve their goals–from establishing good credit, to paying for a college education to consolidating debt. Discover’s mission is to help people spend smarter, manage debt better and save more so they achieve a brighter financial future.
Jennifer has two decades of experience in the Credit Card industry, developing products, services, and rewards programs that help customers get more value from every purchase they make with their Discover Card. While she was leading Discover’s 5% Cashback Bonus program, usage grew by 20% due to her relentless focus on the customer by improving the program’s relevance, personalization, and servicing experience.
In her current role managing the Discover it Business Card, Jennifer is responsible for leading a team of marketers to develop innovative product features and marketing programs to grow awareness and market share of the Business Card and meet the needs of its existing customers.
In addition to her marketing experience, Jennifer spent several years consulting internally at Discover on operational excellence and change management. In 2018, she earned her Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and was rewarded in the same year with a President’s Award for her work transforming the way work is prioritized and resources are allocated in marketing.
Jennifer has her undergraduate degree in Marketing from Illinois State University and is currently pursuing her MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. She lives in the NW suburbs of Chicago with her husband and three children.
