Edna Uribe is the Vice President, Director of Sales for Univision Local Media Sales Chicago. In her role, she’s responsible for achieving goals of more than $50 million in annual revenue: leading the entire local and national sales department efforts and creating new revenue streams for two television stations – WGBO-TV (Univision) and WXFT-TV (Unimas), four radio stations – WOJO-FM (105.1FM Que Buena), WPPN-FM (106.7 FM Amor), WVIV-FM (93.5 FM Latino Mix) & WRTO-AM (1200AM Univision Deportes), in addition to the Local Univision Digital / Social Media platforms.
She has 20 years of broadcast advertising sales experience. She is passionate about developing innovative solutions across all media platforms to bridge client needs with revenue goals. As a sales leader Edna has set a clear path for success for her team through strategic alignment and structure, while building a large network of business partners that effectively collaborate to develop successful campaigns.
Edna graduated Cum Laude from Benedictine University, and holds a Bachelor degree with a double major – International Business & Economics, and Spanish Literature. She served on the Leukemia and Lymphoma Board of Directors for 2 years. Currently, she heads the Univision Chicago Women’s Leadership Council, and she seats on the board of directors for The Chicago Advertising Federation where she collaborates and leads on strategy and diversity committees.
She is passionate about arts and intrigued about world cultures and history. Edna has been dancing since she was 3 years old, and is a professional Flamenco Dancer. She lived in Spain where she concentrated in mastering the art of Flamenco. She was the director for the Spanish Dance program at Instituto Cervantes in Chicago and Harper College.
